About
Professional Life…
Carrie’s endless passion for personal growth is the driving force behind her coaching. She simply loves the idea of improving and helping others do the same. In high school, she marveled at the possibilities in the “Self Help” section at her local book store. In college she fell in love with group fitness classes, trying any and every class her university’s rec center offered. As a public school teacher, she discovered a knack for growing a flourishing community-both in her classroom and among her peers.
No stranger to challenge herself, Carrie’s interest in health coaching first sparked more than ten years ago (before having children! before health coaching was a thing!) when she lost 65 lbs through time, trust, and building/maintaining solid habits. She ended an endless desire for making her body smaller or less and created a more balanced relationship with nutrition, movement, and self care all while finding a growing love and acceptance for herself. It is this balanced lifestyle that she hopes to help all of her clients achieve!
Outside of Health Coaching…
Outside of health coaching, Carrie is a wife to Scott, mom to two daughters and a pup named Gerty. They live in a 100 year old home in Traverse City, MI. She participates in a variety of local fitness and yoga classes. A former Elementary School teacher and Reading Specialist, Carrie loves to read and journal and can often be found strolling along the lake while listening to Audible.
